KISS earned two Guinness World Records for forming the largest human sentence “We Urge for World Peace” and the Most Simultaneous High-Fives in the longest human chain covering 30kms in Bhubaneswar in 2015

In 2016, KISS received recognition from the World Children’s Prize for Child Rights.
KISS was declared a Deemed University in the De-Novo Category under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 in August 2017, making it the world’s first exclusively tribal university. Accordingly, KISS Deemed University introduced seven innovative departments to provide impetus to research on tribal studies.

India’s first-ever FIFA Football for School programme was launched at KISS Bhubaneswar. F4S is an ambitious worldwide programme run by FIFA to contribute to the education, development and empowerment of around 700 million children. KISS becomes Knowledge and Logistical Hub of FIFA’s ‘Football for School’ Initiative on 19th May 2022
