KG to PG
The course curriculum designed for KISS is unique, for it incorporates vocational training with the formal education, thus making a child educated and self sufficient. While the formal education from KG to PG instills confidence in them to face the challenges of the modern world, the other curricular activities with an impetus to their traditional and cultural heritage help them remain integrated to their society.
Academic Affiliations
KISS-CBSE: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) curriculum has been introduced as an alternative curriculum in KISS with student strength of 800. The curriculum is taught from Class 1 to Class 8 at present. Medium of instruction is English.
KISS-Vernacular School: KISS-Vernacular School is affiliated to Board of Secondary Education, Odisha for Class 1 to Class 10 and Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha for 10+2. Medium of instruction is Odia for Class 1 to Class 10 and English for 10+2.

In line with the objective of making each tribal child, who comes here, economically self dependent, KISS introduced Bachelors and Masters degree courses in 2008. These courses, which are offered under KIIT University, Bhubaneswar, provides unique opportunity of further study to tribal students of Odisha as well as other states of the country. KISS has put in place a qualified team of faculty.

ADMISSION RULES
Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) is a premier educational institute in the country providing need based quality education to the tribal children and gives special emphasis on Girls Education and is well recognised across the Globe. 25, 308 tribal children from different parts of the country are pursuing their primary to higher level education. The students are provided with food, clothes, boarding facility, world class sports facilities, well built Computer Labs with WiFi campus, Coaching, In-House Medical facilities etc. all free of cost. Besides that, students are provided with compulsory vocational training to become self-dependant and ensure their sustainable livelihood. 60% girl students have been pursuing their education in different streams.
TEACHING PROGRAMS AVAILABLE IN COLLEGE WING
This institute provides teaching facility from Class I to Post Graduation for the tribal children who belong to the BPL (Below Poverty Line) family. In the college wing, Higher Secondary (+2), Degree (+3) and Post Graduate courses are available in Arts, Science and Commerce streams.
(I) In the Higher Secondary (+2) Arts stream the teaching subjects are Political Science, Education, Sociology, Logic, Home Science and IT. In Science stream the teaching subjects are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology. In Commerce stream the subjects available are Accounting, BSM, BMS, FE, CA and IT.
(II) At Degree level (+3) Honours teaching facility in Arts stream is available in Odia, English, Political Science, Economics, History, Philosophy, Sociology, Education, Psychology, Anthropology, Home Science in addition to Bachelor of Social Work (BSW). Hindi & Sanskrit, In Science stream, Honours teaching facility is available in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Mathematics and Computer Science. B.Com Honours is available in Commerce stream.
(III) Post Graduate studies in Arts are available in Odia, Political Science, Economics, History, Philosophy, Sociology, Education, Anthropology and Tribal Studies in addition to Master of Social Work (MSW), English, Psychology, Home Science.
Post-Graduate courses are also available in inter-disciplinary subjects like Tribal Culture, Philosophy and Eco-spiritualism, Indigenous Knowledge, Sc & Tech., Comparative Tribal Linguistics and Literature, Tribal Heritage and Tribal Indology, Comparative Indic Studies and Tribal Sciences, Tribal Resource Management, Tribal Legal Studies and Tribal Rights.
In Science, teaching facility is available in Chemistry, Botany and Computer Science. Physics, Mathmetics & Zoology Post Graduate studies are also available in Commerce.
Vocational training, LSE (Life Skills Education), Yoga and Computer Training are additional value-addition subjects compulsory for all classes of students besides Sports & Gymnasium facilities.
Girls are given preference at the time of admission.

Interested students can apply within 15 days of publication of results of Matriculation, +2 and +3. However, the last date may be extended for (+2) as per notification.
