Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences,(Deemed to be University), declared U/S 3 of the UGC Act -1956 is dedicated to unique, innovative and emerging areas of teaching, learning and research in respect of Tribal/ Indigenous Culture /Heritage and its link with social and physical sciences as well as Ancient Indian Knowledge base in seven innovative inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary departments, i.e. 1) Tribal Culture, Philosophy and Eco-spiritualism 2) Indigenous Knowledge, Science and Technology 3) Comparative Tribal Linguistics & Literature 4) Tribal Heritage and Tribal Indology 5) Comparative Indic Studies and Tribal Sciences 6)Tribal Resource Management 7)Tribal Legal Studies and Tribal Rights.
The Concerned innovative and emerging areas of knowledge are connected with almost all the subjects coming under the canopy of Social sciences /Humanities (Philosophy, History, Geography, Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Pol. Science, Education, Indian Culture, Musicology, Economics and Social Works), Linguistics and Literature-(English, Odia, Sanskrit, Hindi and Santali etc) Physical sciences – (Botany, Zoology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics), Computer Science, Home Science, Commerce and Managements and Indigenous Jurisprudence (Tribal Legal Studies).
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates having qualifications and API scores as per UGC norms in any of the subjects coming under the purview of Social Sciences/Humanities Physical Sciences, Commerce, Management and Legal Studies and having special studies/ research / publications / working experience in one of the above mentioned seven innovative areas concerning tribal culture and Indian Heritage base for the posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professors in these seven innovative nodal departments
